The Worst Dyson Product I Ever Purchased
Reviewed in the United States on August 3, 2026

This is by far the worst Dyson product I’ve ever purchased. I own several Dyson products and have always been happy with them, but this one has been incredibly disappointing. After washing the roller as instructed, the remaining parts simply will not click back together properly. Every time I clean it, I end up spending hours trying to reconnect the pieces, and most of the time it doesn’t work. On only a few occasions was I able to get it assembled again.I’ve watched every tutorial video and carefully followed all of the instructions, so I’m confident I’m using it correctly. At this point, I believe it’s a design or manufacturing flaw rather than user error. After the third time this happened, I stopped using it, hoping I’d eventually figure it out. Unfortunately, by the time I realized the issue wasn’t fixable, the return window had expired. Now I’m stuck with a Dyson product that cost several hundred dollars but is essentially unusable. It’s a huge waste of money and a very disappointing experience, especially from a brand I used to trust.Read moreRead less

First Mop I Actually Want To Use Regularly. Grossly Under-Rated.
Reviewed in the United States on September 3, 2026

Great daily floor wiping tool. Grossly misunderstood and under-rated product.Extremely convenient to use. Very light and compact. First mop I actually want to use regularly. Same was true for the first Dyson cordless vacuum I got years ago. This product is best be combined with Dyson cordless vacuum. Together they are much easier to use than clean than a wet-dry vacuum. It seems like a lot of criticism comes from people actually wanting an all-in-one vacuum, that does everything. This is not the right tool. This tool takes good care of WIPING the floor, especially spots that are still fresh, like yoghurt, honey, juice etc. This product DOES NOT SCRUB. Tough spots (like stone-try piece of cheese) will need a bit manual scrubbing, before this mop is applied. Anything less tough (e.g. wet or dry yogurt) this mop will take care, especially when some detergent is added to the water.I would not use this product for the first mopping after the floor was poorly maintained for a long time. This mop is primarily design for quick, easy, regular (e.g. daily) mopping on a floor, that is already in good shape and cleaner regularity. It will do great job wiping 99.9% of the surface. If I could suggest to Sir Dyson one improvement, it would be a longer stick, 5-6 feet long. I'm a tall person. It would make mopping more ergonomic and make space for a bigger battery.Read moreRead less

Not Worth It
Reviewed in the United States on August 21, 2026

I was hoping this would clean our floors a bit better than the swiffer method but really I don’t see a difference. The cleaning solution (bought separately) doesn’t really do much. To be fair it does wet the floor and clean up the water, and leaves a little bit of moisture that dries quickly but I just don’t see that it really does a good job of cleaning.Read moreRead less

It Leaves Lots Of Streaks And It Doesn't Have Suction Power.
Reviewed in the United States on August 23, 2026

This was the cutest thing ever!!! The guiding was amazing; it maneuvered around the house with ease and perfection. I was so excited!!! But... there was one thing, IT LEFT STREAKS all throughout the house. It also dispersed water weirdly and it did not have suction power. I had to mop after I used it to get my floors looking clean. It's a big thumbs down for me. Although, I'm going to get a different one, I encourage Dyson to keep trying because if it actually mopped the floor this would be a great product. I think if it had suction power it would help a lot with the STREAKS 😝Read moreRead less

No Cord But Not Convenient To Use On A Daily Basis.
Reviewed in the United States on August 18, 2026

Not up to Dyson standards.Things missing: Lights on the scrubber head. Weird floor charger takes up too much space. Handle could be a little longer. Won't stand upright on its own. Scrubber wheel takes days to dry out. Too complicated to clean for a single use spill.Best to use it all at once until liquid runs out or the battery dies.Read moreRead less

Good For Daily Use, Not For Heavy Cleaning.
Reviewed in the United States on June 6, 2026

The PencilWash took a little adjusting to figure out, but once I got my expectations right, it's become something I actually use regularly. For everyday floor maintenance — vacuum first, run this over it — it's fast and does a genuinely good job. The clean/dirty water separation is satisfying in a gross way; the water in the tank after cleaning floors that looked clean is always darker than you'd expect. For keeping up with daily dirt and light messes, it's a real step up from a Swiffer. That said, don't expect it to handle anything that's had time to set. Dried-on spills need multiple passes and sometimes that's still not enough — you end up finishing with something else anyway. The suction isn't on par with a full-size vacuum, but it's enough to keep the floor from sitting in puddles after a pass, and the thing is light enough that you can zip through a room without it feeling like a chore. It's a maintenance tool, not a deep cleaner, and if you go into it thinking you can skip your periodic proper scrub, you'll be let down.Storage is worth thinking about before you buy. You have to disassemble it and let it dry after every use, so it needs a dedicated spot — and the base station takes up more floor space than you'd think for something this slim. If you have a place for it, the base actually makes things pretty convenient. It's not cheap, but if convenience is what you're after, it delivers on that. What would make it perfect is a wall-mount option that kept everything together and charging, which honestly feels like an obvious add-on that Dyson hasn't gotten around to yet.Read moreRead less

The Only Mop For Me!
Reviewed in the United States on July 11, 2026

I’ve owned just about every type of mop on the market—from steam mops to spin mops—and I can honestly say this is my favorite one yet.The first thing to know is that this is not a vacuum. It’s more like a powered floor sweeper that mops at the same time. It’s also self-propelled, so when you first turn it on, hold on tight because it wants to take off.The motor and battery are built into the handle, which makes the handle a little heavier than the cleaning head. Because of that, this mop does NOT stand upright on its own. I can’t stress this enough: don’t lean it against a wall or try to stand it up. It will fall over, and with the battery and motor in the handle, repeated drops could eventually cause damage.I have about 800 square feet of laminate flooring, and I’ve mopped the entire area twice back-to-back on a single charge without any battery issues. When I’m finished, I simply remove the handle, place it in the charging dock, and it’s ready for the next cleaning.Cleaning the mop itself is very simple. Press the release button and slide the components apart. One important tip: keep the mop head flat while emptying it. Don’t stand it on its side or upright because the dirty water can spill out.Cleaning the roller is just as easy. Remove it, rinse it under running water with a little mild soap, rinse thoroughly, and let it air dry. The rest of the mop head only needs a quick rinse and, if desired, a wipe-down with a damp cloth before drying.Reassembly takes only a minute. Just make sure everything lines up correctly, and don’t forget to install the tank cap. If the cap isn’t on and you tilt the mop, your cleaning solution will pour right out.For cleaning solution, I use Bona Hardwood Floor Cleaner, which is one of the products Dyson recommends. Whatever cleaner you choose, make sure it is low-foaming. Avoid dish soap or high-foaming cleaners because they can damage the machine over time.My biggest tips are simple:* Hold onto the mop when you first power it on.* Never try to store it standing upright.* Keep the dirty water tank flat until it’s emptied.* Only use Dyson-approved or other low-foam cleaners like Bona.Another feature I really like is the adjustable water output. Press the button once for an extra burst of cleaning solution on stubborn spots, or press and hold it to continuously dispense more solution for tougher messes.I’ve been a Dyson customer for years. I’ve owned three cordless stick vacuums, a Dyson Ball vacuum, and now this mop. Every Dyson product I’ve purchased has performed exceptionally well, and this one is no different. If you take care of it, I believe this mop will last a long time. Maybe one day I’ll upgrade to a model that washes and dries its rollers automatically, but honestly, I don’t mind rinsing the roller under the faucet and letting it air dry.For me, this is the best floor-cleaning machine I’ve owned. It cleans better than any mop I’ve used, has excellent battery life, is easy to maintain, and has officially replaced every other mop in my house.Read moreRead less
